Within Communities First, each Partnership area has its own designated staff support team.

The basic support team for a Partnership area comprises a Communities First Co-ordinator, Development Officer and Admin Support Officer.

The Central Team

The Central Team, on behalf of the Co-operative Group, takes care of the finances for 8 partnerships.

The Central Team comprises Matthew Coombes, Finance & Compliance Manager and Keith Clinton, Finance & Compliance Officer, with a Programme Manager currently being recruited to join the team. The team is currently based at St.Illtyds Resource Centre, Llanhilleth, Blaenau Gwent.

The full team will be responsible for HR, Finance, policy and procedural matters for the Communities First Partnerships that are have chosen to utilise the Co-operative Group as their Grant Recipient Body (GRB).

Additionally the team applies for appropriate levels of funding from the Welsh Assembly Government (WAG) and that all subsequent grants are spent in accordance with WAG's Terms and Conditions.

Finally the team act as representatives for the GRB and interface between them, the Communities First Teams and WAG.
