St.Illtyds Communities First

The key principal of the Communities First programme is that every Communities First area should have a partnership which will be enable local people to contribute, with partners, to the regeneration of their area.

The Communities First Partnership must bring together local people from the community concerned, complemented and supported by representatives from the organisations in the statutory, voluntry and business sectors which can help the local community achieve the desired transformation.

Partnerships Linked to the Co-operative Group

The Co-operative Group has identified that it's core aims are aligned with the principle of Communities First that the community must be involved in identifying solutions for their own area. The Co-operative Group supports the following Partnerships by acting as Grant Recipient body for the reciept of WAG funding and also acting as Managing Agent for the Partnership teams for the following areas:

  • St Illtyds

  • Llanion

  • Monkton

  • Llanhilleth youth night Tuesdays 6-8pm at Llanhilleth Institute.
  • Action Camp, 6th August- 9th August at Kiln Park, Tenby.
